Itunes update and etc

Over this last weekend I installed the current version of iTunes on to my Windows XP system and half way expecting an error of some kind while installing the Quick time part of the install package. Luckily that there was no problem while the installation took place.

If you want to know what I’m talking about please take a look at this post. Not that I mind using the Windows
OS, it can be a pain.

I finally got a new LCD display for the Windows PC which is nice, now there could be more than one person on-line at the same time on the home network (or LAN). Now all I need to do now with my Windows PC is to add a second hard drive primarily for the itunes library and to place future application that would take up more than what I have on my C drive.

I’m glad that Apple fixed the Quicktime install part of the iTunes 7.6 installation.

bye for now….

Slacker

I discovered a new internet based radio site named Slacker that works on a Macintosh system well through – at least – Firefox 2. Granted its in beta, but its not like Yahoo! Music that doesn’t support Mac in regards to its Radio part of its site. The music video’s on Yahoo Music do work in Firefox on the Macintosh system which is nice.

Anyway, now its nice to have some place to listen to the radio on the internet besides ITunes. Here is the link to the story on how found Slacker.com.

Now if Yahoo! would add or improve support for the Macintosh platform on it music site, which I doubt that its going happen anytime soon. Well sort of Apple buying a larger company, but then again its wishful thinking.

Its been a while

Well its been a while since the last post that I wrote and posted back in September. Though I’ve wrote several post’s that I have not published yet. Things have been difficult that last several months … which I won’t say that much here, if any. Hopefully, I would be publishing the post’s that I’ve writing soon but I don’t know yet.

Anyway, one thing that I’ve noticed recently is that I haven’t really listening to any music CD’s since March of this year since I got an IPod then.

As far as school is concerned is that I’m considering and looking in to transfer to another university but I’m still looking to stuff in regards to this. Just have to see how thing’s go by the end of Spring here in Alaska.

Have a good Christmas holiday everyone.

Under the Influence of Giants

… the group that is, reminds me of bands, sounds, and music from the 1970’s. Even though I’m barely old enough to remember the very late 70’s – well the last couple of years of the 70’s. By admiting that would probaly give you the general age of yours truly.

And the music video for this band also reminds me of those from that time too even though that there weren’t basic cable channel’s like MTV to show them yet.

The song/music video that has been playing on MTV/MTV2, VH1, and maybe Fuse too would help me in considering in buying the song singal (?spelling) or maybe the album from Under the Influence of Giants.

Then again I might not but who knows on when I would buy more music.

Later all…

I got an IPod

Well I finaly got an Video IPod yesturday thru my local University – a black 30GB vipod. Its quite nice to have and one nice thing that I found usefull is that I got to sleep faster last night than ever before.

All I need to do is just to fill it up with music, playlist’s, and such.

More new CD’s

Well I got some 5 new CD’s today and no wonder on why CD sales are going down – as far as I last heard. On some of the prices is like almost US$18.00 for at least 3 of the 5 cd’s that I’ve gotten and the total of the 5 cd’s were sort of $80.00.

After I got these 5 cd’s the price reminded me of a Zits cartoon on the music downloading and buying cd’s in a music store of some kind it something to the effect of being “grand larson” or something to that effect about the topic of the specific strip which was sometime ago. Though it did reflect about much things cost today in at least in buying something simple like cd’s.

I’m halfway tempted to buy music thru iTunes and get an iPod at somepoint. As much as I like buying cd’s, I think its gotten to the point where I want to forgo on getting anymore cd’s at some point in the near future and convert my 400 cd collection to the iPod of that’s even possilbe or even legal. Though I would be looking into that even before I buy an iPod. But then I doubt that I will have my cd collection on any iPod that I might get, since I don’t have the time to do put my collection on an iPod that I may or may not get. Sure I want one, but its just a matter of buying an iPod.

I just have to see how thing’s go over winter break and what school is like next term in the spring about getting an iPod or not. Let alone buying music thru iTunes.
