Here is the moon that was out on the night of October 12 2017 and the morning of October 13 2017.
For some reason I’ve wanted to take a lot of photo’s of the moon recently. At some point I might take a month and photograph the moon. I know there are/were other people who do take photographs of the moon over the course of the night or during a month, but I just want to give it a gander. Though I’m going to wait til I have a working car to do this, and to look for a good out-of-the-way spot with less light pollution to this small project.
I’ve been looking to expand my Canon Camera lenses collection for my Canon 60D camera. One type of lenses that I’m planning to get is an Macro lens. As for other types of lenses that I want to get to get are telephoto lenses and I know it comes down to personal preference. Since, majority of photographs that I would be taking would be outdoor type photographs.
Though, if there was a way to try before buying at a store to see if I like the lenses would be nice. But, I doubt that is possible to do, since I don’t constantly share photo’s that I’ve done and haven’t really been taken photo’s recently over the last year and half on my Canon camera.
It will be a while before I would actually buy a few lenses, cause I need to save up money to buy them and more larger SD cards. I would be using this time to choose the type of lenses and save up the money to buy them.
Hopefully during the next two weeks I would be sorting and possibly adding some photographs that I’ve taken the last two years on to this blog. I know in the past I would post photos and don’t and I’m planning to now. I doubt that I would be able to upload all the photo’s that I’ve taken over the two years. Granted, I doubt that I would be uploading all the photo’s – fraction of the photos would be uploaded.
There are a number of photo’s that I took with my phone which I’m planning to put up as a few regular posts on this site. I may do a sample gallery then link to the rest of the photos; but, I may not do this – depends on what I upload to the blog.
I’ll be posting something when I’m done sorting and editing the photos.
Here is some photo’s of a Sage field that is located on Fallen Leaf Road that is outside of South Lake Tahoe, CA., off of Route 89. This sage field is result of an controlled fire that happened about 6 to 8 years ago (not sure exactly when that controlled fire happened).
These photo’s were taken with my iPhone 5c on 13 November 2014. There might be a few that are blurry photos when I took them in the last 30 to 45 minutes of daylight of stated date.
Hope all of you would enjoy some photo’s until I get some more up on this site.
Over the next few weeks I’ll be going through the photograph files on this site and updating information on some photographs – like the name, alt text and adding descriptions to them.
Also, during this time I might be uploading more photographs that I took while staying at Lake Tahoe in 2013. I’m still going through those photographs and seeing what to upload exactly to this site. In addition to editing them a little to look better.
When I added some more photographs to this site, I’ll be making a post along a sample gallery when I’ve made a new gallery setup.
A few hours ago I thought of working on a project that would take some time to do. That project is Digitizing all of my family photo albums that my family has built up over the years. I figured that this would be a way to keep these photos that were taken over time. After scanning each photo, I thought of doing touch up to any photos that would need a touch up.
I know that it would take time to scan each photo into my computer and time to do any touch up to any number of photos. I would assume that doing this would, in a way, keep all the photographs for a long time to come. By doing this I would need a lot of storage space on my computer.
Though it would be sometime before I would actually sit down and do this, since the photo albums are in storage. Once I get everything that I need out of storage and set up a workhorse of a computer then I would start digitizing the photographs.
I doubt that I’ll scan the 8 1/2″ by 11″ pictures, I would defiantly scan the 3″ by 5″ photos into the computer and archive them onto a DVD disk. I, also, thought about putting the photographs onto a gallery style site of some kind some where and have it password protected, so that only a few people can look at the photos. Though, I doubt that I’ll be doing that last thing that I said, giving how many photographs that there are in the albums.
I even thought about turning this into a business of some kind, I may or may not though. A long story for another time.
I may add to this post or I may add a part 2 post at some point. Contact me or leave a comment below if you like to share thoughts about this. It would be a day or two before responding to any comments on posts or through the contact form.
I’m in the process of setting an Oregon centric blog in addition to this blog. Why? You may ask – it’s mainly to separate out any content that I’m going to post into a specific place than into a catch-all cluttered blog like this blog. This blog seems to be cluttered and since I’m going to have photographs that I take in Oregon or SW Washington or talk about places in either place I thought it be nice to have a specific place to post about such things.
I know that I can or should keep everything I post on this one blog, since I would add a lot of other photographs here and I had this blog for a long time – I felt best to have a centric blog for a specific topic – which in this case would be about Oregon and possibly places in SW Washington.
Leave a thought or two = if you like at the bottom of this post.
Sometime the next month or two I’ll be adding photographs that I have taken and that I will take over the next month while visiting Lake Tahoe, CA. Not all the photographs will be posted, like blurred or otherwise out of focus or blown out photographs.
I haven’t posted photo’s yet cause I haven’t downloaded them to my computer yet and, I want to edit, sort them first before posting them here. I will, also, post them at Flickr and at 500px – links will come later.
