Missing Photographs

I’ve looked through some photographs that I’ve taken over the last couple of years looking for a series of photographs that I took with my iPhone or Canon camera while I was staying at Lake Tahoe. I took this series of photos back in the Fall of 2014, apparently, I didn’t back up my phone with these specific photos with my dogs while Lily Lake near Fallen Leaf Lake in the Sierra Nevada’s. They were on my phone that I wrecked in the fall of 2014 and couldn’t and wasn’t able to use the contents of the phone; let alone to erase the phone before I was able to send it in after I got the replacement phone. Another possibility is that I might have deleted these specific photo’s but I doubt that I did that.

The end of 2014 and into late 2015 seems that I had trouble with my iPhone – on the fact of needing to replace or place the screen. First I filed an insurance claim to replace it and my second line I had at that time. Both phone weren’t able to power on because of the way I dropped them on the floor or ground. Late last June (2015) I somehow pushed/kicked my replacement iPhone off of a table on to a concrete floor and smashed the screen. I was able to replace the screen last fall after I got back into Portland; however, to do that I do a remote erase of the phone because there was no way to get access to the phone to disable the “Find my Phone” feature that I had turned on at the time.

It’s just that I feel so stupid for not backing up my phone and photographs that I took with it. I don’t know when I would be going back to this one place to take more photographs with my iPhone or with my Canon camera that I have. I think I took these series of photo’s in October 2014 when there wasn’t or any snow on the ground in the Sierra Nevada’s.

I know that I shouldn’t let this type of shit to bug me, but it bug me in some fashion for a short bit to come. This summer I may take more photographs at Lily Lake in a few months time – possibly. It just frustrating that I do something like this. This might be one of my failings in my life. The only thing that I can do is to move on and learn from my mistake of not backing up my photographs off of my phone and keep track of photos that I take.
